Rolling, Giggling, and Singing

Lydia has started rolling! Emme and I were coloring on Sunday and I looked over and there was Lydia no longer on her back, but on her belly. So she went from her back to her belly. So fun to watch her learn new things!

This past month has been one of watching her just really enjoy her family. She gives such big smiles for us all.

Daddy has become a new favorite with him singing to her and dancing with her. She also does HUGE belly laughs for Emme when Emme does silly dancing for her and silly songs. It is very cute. Emme has loved this big sister role and has asked if she can go care for Lydia when she is crying. Lydia will actually calm down when she sees and hears Emme. So sweet. I love the relationships that these three little sisters are building. Thank you Lord for my little lambs!

Lydia had her 4 month appointment today along with the sad vaccines. I think the saddest part about the vaccines is that she is looking right at ME when they give her the painful shots! So sad....:( But we praise the Lord for the protection these vaccines will bring and know it is for her good.
She is the smallest out of all three babies. She is 13lbs. 4 oz. and is 24 inches long. So she is average for everything. So funny because she weighs a couple ounces under what Emme and Faith did at 2 months! No wonder I feel like she is so tiny sometimes! Thank you Lord for her continued good health and for these precious 4 months with this baby girl.
Faith also had her two year check up today and did a great job letting Dr. Schadder check her out. She continues to grow well too. She only grew 1/2 an inch length wise so is on the shorter end and then gained about 2 lbs. Just thinking of our little Faithy makes me laugh. She is such silly little one. She is loving to just randomly BELT out songs in the midsts of our day....a few of her favs....This Little Light of Mine, Jesus Loves Me, The Gospel Song, Tender Shepherd, Don't You Know that God Loves You, and Oh, Happy Day (Tim Hughes). I Love her sweet little voice! Thank you Lord also for the health of this precious little lamb of ours!

These Girls of Ours

My three sweeties
These girls of ours continue to bring me so many smiles throughout our days together. Here are some of the fun things they have said this week:

Emme: (after church on Sunday as we are sitting down to lunch) "Worshiping Jesus makes me hungry!"

Faith:
(After I encouraged her that God had answered our prayers about something we had prayed for together) "I like God!"

Lydia:
She has not had any one liners this week:), but I am so enjoying her smiles, coos, cuddles and laughs. She brings many smiles to us all:)

My Little Helper

Yesterday I was doing the dinner dishes and Emme asked if she could help me. I was just about done and so I told her maybe next time. She said, "Well what else can I do to help you. What other important jobs are there? Can I dry the dishes?" I said, "Sure, that would be great, Love." Damien then came in and I told him what a wonderful helper Emme was. He was commending her. Then she said two things that just were just such sweet words to my ears. She said, "I love serving momma and I love serving God." Thank you Lord for times like those where you give me glimpses into the work you are doing in our girls. How kind You are!

Thank you Lord for Kelly E.Ross

I cannot thank the Lord enough for placing Kelly Ross in my life. I always come away from my times with her refreshed in the calling God has given me as a wife and mother, more in love with Jesus, and so amazed that God would bless me with the incredible, undeserved gift of her friendship. Kelly and her husband Ben are going to be heading off to the Sovereign Grace Pastors College Saturday for 9 months. Lord willing they will return to our church sometime in June 2008 and Ben will join CB in caring for our church as an assistant pastor. What a joy it has been to witness firsthand God's faithfulness and provision to this couple. Ben and Kelly have become such dear friends to us and are like family to us so their departure brings a sadness to our family, but we are so excited for what God is going to do in them these next 9 months. '
Kelly, I want to honor you for the way you live your life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Your gentle and quiet spirit bring such glory to our Savior and your joy just radiates. Your servant's heart always provokes me to greater service to others. And while you are always looking to serve others, Ben, Madelyn and AJ are the primary beneficiaries of your care. That is pleasing to the Lord. Our cool drink dates will be hugely missed, but I am excited to see how the Lord will continue to knit our hearts together in this new season of our friendship. Thank you for your love, care, and encouragement. Your friendship is a rare jewel to me. I love you!

Vacation Time

We just
returned from a nice relaxing vacation with first my family in the Poconos and then Damien's family at their house in Western PA. It was such a blessing to be able to spend time together as a family. Damien has been very busy this summer painting with my dad and doing grad class work in the beginning of the summer so spending time with him this past week was so much fun! Thank you Lord for a wonderful vacation~such a gift from You!
Highlights from the Poconos:
  • Spending extended time talking with Brett and Shelby
  • Listening to John Piper with Damien
  • Kate(my niece), Emme, and Faith playing together and getting to spend lots of time with Kate
  • Getting to see a REAL black bear in our back yard:)
  • A campfire the last night where we all shared prayer requests and praises and prayed for one another. What a blessing that was. (Thank you dad for leading us in that way)
  • Emme and Faith going into the BIG pool with us

We had such a nice time with Gramps and Grandmom Drago. It is always so relaxing to go there. The girls love running around on their 6 acres. Thanks for everything, you always take such good care of us. They also watched all three girls for Damien and I while we attended his 10 year reunion for highschool. (I think Damien and I will be talking about that reunion for a long time:)
Highlights from Gramps and Grandmoms:
  • A wonderful hike in the woods with the girls
  • A campfire with smores included
  • Getting to see Uncle Aaron also
  • Beautiful weather to run around outside and swim in the pool in

The Gift of Our Faithy

Today is Faith's 2nd birthday. We had such a nice day. Damien and I took Faith to Dunkin Donuts for a special birthday breakfast. (Thank you Aunt Kelly for caring for Emme and Lydia...you are such a blessing to our family) It was so fun watching Faith eat her donut and drink her chocolate milk. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy:) What a complete joy it has been to have this little gift for the past two years. There are many things to love about Faith, but here are just a few:
  • She is sooooooo cuddly and affectionate
  • She loves to make us laugh and does it so well
  • She loves to have us read her Bible to her
  • She loves to sing and has some favorites..The Gospel Song, Jesus Loves Me, Nothing But the Blood, You Never Let Go
  • She loves her sisters and is very gentle with Lydia.
  • Her crazy, curly hair. (She said to me today, "Mom, my crazy hair.")
  • Talking with her....we've had some neat conversations lately
I could go on an on about the different things we love about our little Faithy-Poo. Thank you Lord for the gift of this little girl who we do not deserve, but are so grateful you have in your kindness blessed us with...she is an amazing gift and we give you all the praise for her!!!! Happy birthday, little Love.
