Time of Refreshment

Last Friday Damien surprised me with "a day off." He had the day off and sent me to go get some Dunkin Donuts and then to go spend some time to be with the Lord and read. It was such a refreshing time for me just being alone with the Lord. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the park I went to was pretty much deserted. As I was in the midst of my time there just with quietness God really refreshed me and gave me vision again for my calling as a wife and momma. I love just being able to have times like that to just sit at His feet and not rush through because I have something else on the agenda. I was so blessed and amazed that Damien would take his day off and trade it with me so that I instead could have a day off. He put me above himself and that is true love:) After my morning I went and picked Damien up and we went to lunch and our ever faithful, Meemaw came to be with the girls. (Thank you Meems, again:) Thank you Damien for seeking to help me grow and for caring for my soul in that way. You are amazing and I am so grateful to be your wife:)

Damien did the girls hair and I was seriously impressed. Lydia's was the hardest;)

Dear Lydi Bug

My Dearest Buggy-Boo~

You have added so much joy and laughter to our home. As I am writing this I picture your sweet smiling face. I love that smile. You definitely love to smile and giggle. You are a joyful little girl who is content too. You are so content that you just enjoy sitting and playing with your toys or laughing at your silly sisters. You have recently begun to roll as your way of moving around the room. So cute. Oh Lydia we are so grateful for the blessing of you as our little girl. It is an absolute joy and gift to be your Momma. I celebrate this year with you, my Love, and pray that God blesses you with many more years where His faithful hand will draw you to Him. Praying that you would know Jesus, Lydia Hope.

Praising God for you, Buggy!

I love you to pieces,
Momma

Fun with the Family

On Saturday we went and spent the day with Aunt Denise, Uncle Pete, Damien's cousin Heather, her husband, Kevin and their new baby William in NJ. It was fun to see them again and to meet little Wil for the first time. We even had a silly string battle. (Aunt Denise always has fun ideas up her sleeve.) Uncle Pete and Aunt Denise have a beautiful home with lots of room for the girls to run free. They were enjoying the beautiful day running around and playing with Heather's toys from when she was a little girl. They were tired out from that busy fun day and fell fast asleep on the way home and did not even move after we carried them up and tucked them in their beds for the night. Thanks so much for the fun day Uncle Pete, Aunt Denise, Heather, Kevin, and William.

Dear Emme Love

Dear Emme Love~

I cannot even believe that five years have passed since I first held you in my arms. You have grown into such a beautiful little lady. Not only, Sweetie, are you beautiful on the outside, but Love, God is renewing you on the inside. Your love for Him is so evident as you tell others when you meet them that, "God is good." and then ask them if they know Jesus and invite them to church. You also love singing praises to Him and love praying to Him. It is so neat to come into the room and hear you praying to God out loud. It is music to my ears, but even more so to God! When I think of you, my little Love, joy, caring, loving are the words that come to mind to best describe you. You love to care for others by helping them and you usually do it with such a joyful heart. You are also very affectionate and love to snuggle. Faith and Lydia are very cared for by you and love you. Thank you for the way you help me care for Lydia by playing with her, helping me give her baths, and helping me feed her. You are going to be a wonderful momma someday:) I have enjoyed our tea times together and our talks together. I am excited for the friendship God is building between us. It is hard to sum up into words all that you mean to me my little Love. I am just in constant amazement at God's kindness in blessing me with you as my little girl! I love being your momma. It is such a joy and honor. I praise God for all that He is doing in you. Happy birthday my five year old!!!!

I love you to pieces,
Momma

Celebrating Emme

Damien and I took Emme out for her birthday this past Saturday. (thank you Meems for watching Faith and Lydia for us:) We had so much fun celebrating our Emme and taking her out for lunch to Fudrucker's and then to The Children's Place for a little clothes shopping and then to our favorite ice cream shop, "The Creamery" in Strasburg. Emme especially likes "The Creamery" because they have an old time candy store in the back. She was most excited to get a candy necklace. Oh the simple things of life:) It was fun being able to encourage her with all that God is doing in her. More encouraging words for Emme to come for her birthday post. We praise God for you Emme Grace!

Just Because

Yesterday Damien greeted me with these beautiful flowers when he arrived home from work. He just wanted to let me know how much he appreciates me. How sweet and what a blessing to be married to this thoughtful man! Thank you Lord for Damien and the way he loves his girls so well. Thank you Love for your care and thoughtfulness. I am blessed!!!!

Daddy and Emme listening to the Bible online...I thought it was such a sweet moment. Emme was so excited to sit with Daddy and listen to the man reading the Bible.
Emme and Faith playing Mary and Joseph...as you can tell Mary is in pain because she is about to give birth;) (Too cute)
Lydia is able to drink from her cup only if I lay her down:)

Emme loves to help with Lydia...and Lydia loves her big sister:)
