D.C. with My Love

Damien took me on a trip to Washington, D.C. for my birthday. We had such a fun time:) Thanks Love for such a memorable day together. Thanks Mom and Dad for caring for the girls for us so that we could have such an extended time together. And thank you Lord for such a wonderful husband who desires to bless me as he does.
Taking the Metro into D.C.

Ever since reading Mrs. Robert E. Lee I have wanted to see Arlington. It was fun to see the actual house I was reading about. The amount of gravestones there is simply unbelievable! Damien's close encounter with a Dinosaur:)
A Visit with President Bush:)

The view from Jefferson Memorial
Aaron and Erin our fantastic tour guides:) We met them for dinner and they also drove us around to all the memorials and the White House and the Capitol. There is no way we would have see all those things without them. Thanks so much for the fun time together and for treating us to dinner. We love you guys!

Damien and Xavier in" the Ant Hole"

On Saturday we had the joy of going to the Hands On House with our sweet friends Linda and Xavier. The kids had an absolute blast running all around inside and outside:) There were all sorts of fun things to do. It was a blessing for me to have some deeper fellowship with Linda as Damien took the three oldest kids inside for the last hurrah and Lydia napped in the shade.
God is so kind to give us days of fun and fellowship like He did on Saturday. What a kind and generous God we serve!

This is how the kids and Damien all returned from their last Hurrah:) Fun stuff. Damien even drove the van home with his warrior face:)

Fun in the Sun

We have some dear friends who we consider family, Bud, Helen and Albert Ray. The girls affectionately call them Mom-Mom Helen and Pop-Pop Bud. Damien and I lived in their guest home the first two years of our marriage. They had us over the other day for a swim. It was so much fun because this was the first time that they really enjoyed themselves swimming in a big swimming pool. We are so thankful to see God help Emme with her fear . She did not want to get out of the pool and even wanted to go back in after dinner:) So much fun! Faith was a little more timid with the water, but did go in and even went down the slide. Lydia could not get enough of the pool:) Thank you Lord for such generous friends who share their blessings with us:) Here are some fun pictures from our afternoon with them.

Relaxing with Gramps and Grandma

Our time with Gramps and Grandmom was a sweet, relaxing time. It was fun to be at their new house and to visit with old friends. They just moved to the town where Damien and I went to college. They recently moved there for the Sovereign Grace Church that is there. We are so excited for them to be in this wonderful church and they are amazed at God's kindness too:) Thanks for a wonderful time Mom and Dad. We are so grateful for EVERY minute we get to spend with you. We love you!!!!

Here are a few pics of our wonderful time away.

Faith and Emme at the Lake. They really liked swimming and splashing around.
There was a little educational time at the park on bugs. So we took the girls. We even got to try to catch bugs:) Damien was pretty fun to watch as he tried to catch fireflies.

It was fun catching up with our dear college friends, the Herman's, Kim's, Brodes, and McKelvy's. And what is so much fun is that our children our becoming friends now!

Emme and Faith enjoyed spending time in Gramp's and Grandmom's finished basement. They had so many wonderful books and toys to play with. And occasionally Gramps would join them to play basketball or "bears." Emme tried her hand at getting him to play Barbie's with her:)
